City Offers Many Incentives To Keep Our City Clean

The block captains meeting held July 29, 2010, at Morris Estate Playground was informative, and inspiring. The meeting covered everything from how to organize your block, to the many incentives the city has for keeping our community clean and recycling. Representative Yvonne Tyler from More Beautiful Blocks Committee (PMBC) hosted the event with guest speakers. From 35 district Community Lesion Officer Ronald Jackson, RecycleBank Director of Community Affairs David Kinsey, Managing Directors Office Rochelle Smith, Unlitter Us rep Ashley Pearson and Sanitations (SWEEP) rep Christopher Field. All speakers in attendance gave guidance on how they could help us help ourselves. Officer Jackson suggested we should always be-aware of our surroundings and remove or cover valuables in cars. David Kinsey explained how we can turn trash to treasure by recycling with Philadelphia recycling rewards .
