Spring Has Sprung, 3 Raw Food Recipes to Detoxify the Body and Get Set For Warmer Weather

You can enjoy great flavors and detox at the same time.

I have never been a fan of extreme fasting. In myexperience, depriving the body too much can be a bit of an overload, which leads to over indulgence. It’s best to be realistic when it comesto detoxifying the body. Eating raw allows the body to gradually expeltoxins without extreme measures. You won’t feel starved but at the sametime you’re choosing foods that are loaded with nutrients and enzymesbecause none of them have been lost in the cooking process. Your body isalso free of foods that are difficult to digest like meat, dairy, addedsugars, and anything processed, giving your internal organs a rest. Rawfoods tend to be fibrous and move through your system efficiently, pushing out undigested food matter.

Spring and summer are the most natural times of the year to eat rawfoods because there is much more seasonal produce available and you canfind food grown locally. And eating sustainable rawfoods is easier on the planet. Accordingto raw food guru Ani Phyo, one of the major changes she noticed washow her kitchen garbage disappeared when she began eating only freshwhole foods. She was no longer buying nor disposing of processed foodpackaging and all the plastics and cardboards. You can make a meal for300 people and at the end of it will be left with organic compost.
