Women of Faith and Hope was established in 1995 by an African American female breast cancer survivor who lost her mother to breast cancer in 1975. Women of Faith and Hope is a self-help group specifically designed to assist women afflicted with breast cancer, their family members and significant others through their diagnosis and treatment by providing information, resources and peer support. The mission of Women of Faith and Hope is to enlighten, encourage and empower women about issues related to breast cancer thus reducing the morality rate through early detection. To offer spiritual and emotional support to women and their significant others. Women of Faith and Hope is a private non-profit organization.
