After reading the  Sunday Philadelphia Inquires coverage of  the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival held June 18-20, I felt it my duty as a community leader and  resident  of  Oak Lane for over 30 years to express  gratitude to  State Rep. Dwight Evans and president of  OARC Jack Kitchen for their positive impact on the community.

I’ve attended the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival for years, and all though the attendance this year may  have paled in comparison to  previous years (especially 2009) so what, it still was a magnificent event.  In my opinion the jazz festival is just the icing on the cake, the true evidence of  your success is in the improvements made through your programs which enhances the quality of life in my community.

Keep up the good work, I look forward to next years festival!
